I do not recommend this palette and would strongly suggest you don’t buy it. As it stands, I don’t recommend this palette and feel like it was a waste of money.Īs far as Wet n’ Wild Hits and Misses goes, the Not a Basic Peach Palette is a definite miss for me! It’s one of the worst drugstore eyeshadow palettes I’ve ever purchased and a reminder to me as to why I rarely buy drugstore eyeshadows. I hope Wet n’ Wild decides to reformulate the colors in this palette to have better pigmentation because I would then recommend it. Usually, shimmer shades are easier to work with than mattes. Honestly, I was puzzled over how bad so many of the shimmery shades performed. I could make it work at my inner corner and under the brows. The yellow gold metallic was almost as good as the orange with gold shift. The orange with gold shift was very pretty and had much better pigmentation than the other shades. The deepest brown and orange matte initially were ok, but they faded on my eyes pretty fast. The peachy beige matte transition was super powdery and hard to build up. The deeper brown with orange tones transition shade was the best, but still not great. The orange with gold sparkle was very powdery. These two shades made me super sad because I wanted to love them both. The blue-toned teal with gold duochrome that looked so promising in the pan refused to build up at all and looked dusty. The plum with gold flecks, which reminded me a bit of Mac Trax, was terrible and had no pigmentation. I numbered the light transition shade as 1, the light beige shimmer as 2, the gold as 3, the orange matte as 4, the orange with gold shift as 5, the orange with gold sparkle as 6, the plum with gold sparkle as 7, the teal blue with gold shift as 8, the deep brown as 9 and the brown with orange tones as 10. It reminded me a bit of Colour Pop Dream Street. I bought the cruelty free Wet n’ Wild Not a Basic Peach Palette because it looked like a nice Summery palette. Happy Makeup Wars Monday! Today I’m sharing my Wet n’ Wild Hits and Misses with you, since the Makeup Wars bloggers are focusing on the drugstore cruelty free makeup brand.
